Sophie Cooper holds an MA in Oral History from Columbia University, where she focused on issues of social justice amidst the backdrop of the Occupy Wall Street movement. Her work has included a community history of Judson Memorial, exploring the social and political dynamics of the church, as well as several short documentary features on her home state of Alabama. She is currently continuing her work on social justice, exploring collective memory and racial identity issues. In addition to her MA from Columbia, she holds a BA in History from Yale University.
