Erin M. Hess
Erin M. Hess, Louisiana State University
Erin Hess is the Editor and Manuscripts Processor for the T. Harry Williams Center for Oral History, part of LSU Libraries Special Collections. With the Williams Center, Erin is primarily responsible for preparing oral history interview collections for deposit into Special Collections, where they are made available to patrons and researchers. As one of only three employees managing over 3,000 oral histories, she plays a vital role in most aspects of the Center’s operation. Erin has worked extensively on the Center’s podcast series, “What Endures,” writing and producing several episodes. She is an active member of the Oral History Association and served on the Program Committee for the 2011 conference in Denver, Colorado. Erin has a bachelor’s in anthropology from Muhlenberg College and a master’s in anthropology from LSU.
