Lapel / Lavalier Microphone

Lapel / Lavalier Microphone: Small dynamic or condenser microphone that is usually clipped to a lapel or shirt to provide convenient recording of speech. Because of the proximity to the sound source, these microphones usually produce a much better signal to noise ratio. [ Audio Glossary ]
