Resample

Resample: A process by which a sound file is sampled at a rate different than that which it was originally recorded. When dealing with resampling it is always best to make your original recordings at the highest possible bit and sample rates, and then to downsize these files later on if need be. While moving from a 16-bit file to a 24-bit file will not result in a horrific loss of clarity, you will still be left with a sub-par 24-bit audio file. [ Audio Glossary ]
