Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR)

Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR): Refers to the ratio between a recorded signal and the noise levels associated with it. Think of a conversation (signal) at a cocktail party (noise). The higher the signal-to-noise ratio the better the quality of the audio. [ Audio Glossary ]
